I was asked recently why I take the time and trouble to travel around the county to work in clients’ own homes. It is simply because I believe it is helpful to most people to have me come to them. The process of hypnosis is much aided by a client’s ability to relax, and where better to relax than in one’s own home? A stressful drive to come to see me may compound feelings of anxiety and stress. However, because I am effectively a stranger coming into your home, I always recommend that clients have someone they know and trust in the house while we work, to make them feel more comfortable. In fact, I am happy to have supporters in the room with us while we work if clients find this more of a comfort, and this is something that often happens.
The important consideration is what makes a client more comfortable, relaxed and able to engage in the process of hypnotherapy.
